Program Date: Saturday, August 8th
Program Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Location: Murphy-Chambers Farm

Bring your furry friend and join us for a scenic, guided hike along the Murphy-Chambers Farm trail! We’ll trek through fields and wooded ravines to see spectacular views of the Shenandoah River and the surrounding mountains, as well as Civil War cannons and earthworks, and one of the previous locations of the John Brown Fort. As we make our way along the trail, you’ll learn about the BARK Ranger program, designed to keep our parks safe and enjoyable for pets and visitors alike. At the end of the hike, your dog can even become an official BARK Ranger!

Led by volunteer Dave Cahan, a seasoned hiker who’s familiar with Harpers Ferry's 20 miles of trails, this 2-mile hike is rated Easy to Moderate.

Be sure to bring a leash, waste bags, water, proper footwear, and any other essentials for a safe and comfortable hike. This hike is ideal for dogs that enjoy being around other dogs and people. Participants should meet at the Murphy-Chambers Farm parking area. We can’t wait to explore the beauty and history of Harpers Ferry with you and your four-legged friend!

This guided hike has a $10.00 program fee. Registration is required to secure a spot for this program.
