Who We Are
Harpers Ferry Park Association (HFPA) is one of over 100 cooperating associations serving the National Park Service (NPS). These associations provide high-quality, NPS-approved publications, maps, videos, theme-related merchandise, and educational programs to help visitors understand the natural and cultural significance of our national parks.
Established in 1971 as the Harpers Ferry Historical Association, our not-for-profit organization has provided over $3 million in aid to enhance the interpretive and educational programs of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and the National Park Service. HFPA is a membership organization with supporters throughout the United States. It is governed by an eleven-member board of directors elected by its membership. A membership meeting is held annually [View our 2020 Minutes and the Year-in-Review Presentation]. Membership benefits include a discount on Bookshop items (reciprocal at most national park sales outlets), special membership activities, and our newsletter, The View.
